No experience is necessary, only smiles and enthusiasm. Participating in The Texas Tropics Pageants can open many doors for your child. Representatives from children's modeling and talent agencies are sometimes in attendance. Our number one goal is to create a memorable day for you and your family.

We will rehearse with your child before the pageant so they are comfortable on stage. We encourage them to "just be themselves" and we reward them with self esteem and confidence. Each contestant will come up on stage and smile. Babies can wave and blow kisses if they want to. All we want is for everybody to have a great time. Contestants 1-4 years must have an adult bring them on stage. There will be one winner and four runners up in each age division.

Mail your applications early!! Age groups may be divided if they are too large by the deadline date!

If something happens that you are unable to attend, your unused entry fees will be credited to a future pageant. No refunds will be made for any reason.

ENTRY FEE:
The preliminary pageant entry fee is $40 if paid prior to the pageant date. You may mail in a check or money order, call in payment over the phone with a credit card or pay on-line with Pay Pal. You may register your child the day of the pageant but the entry fee will be $50 cash. Click here to register.

PAGEANT JUDGING GUIDELINES:
Contestants will be judged on stage in swimwear or tropical casual wear depending on the venue and season. Props are acceptable (hats, glasses, etc.). We are an "all natural pageant" so parents please do not put make-up on your children. Contestants will be judged on a total package of head to toe natural beauty, poise and personality with an emphasis on facial beauty.

CHECK-IN INFORMATION:
All contestants must be checked-in by a parent or guardian anytime between 9:00-10:00am for ages 1-4yrs and 10:30-11:30am for children 5 & older the day of the pageant. During registration, your child will receive their contestant number, fill out entry form (if you did not do so on-line) and enter the optional photogenic category. The contestant does not need to be present at check-in. If you have paid with your entry via paypal.com you must bring your PayPal receipt with you to check-in.

AGE DIVISIONS:
Tiny Miss: 1-2 years
Wee Miss: 3-4 years
Mini Miss: 5-6 years
Little Miss: 7-8 years
Young Miss: 9-10 years
Junior Miss: 11-12 years
Wee Mister: 1-3 years
Little Mister: 4-7 years
Young Mister: 8-12 years

PRIZES:
All contestants will receive a trophy for participating in the pageant. There will be one winner and at four alternates in each age group. The winner will receive a trophy and crown and the 2nd & 5th place winners will receive a trophy. ALL contestants that enter this pageant will advance to the Finals. If your child wins their age division title, they will receive their entry fee paid to the State Finals. If they are a runner-up, they will receive half their entry fee paid to the State Finals.

OPTIONAL PHOTOGENIC COMPETITION:
One winner per age division will receive a trophy. Photos may be color or B/W and any size up to 8x10. The cost to enter this category is $10.00 for the first photo and $5.00 for each additional photo. The photos can be a head or body shot of the child. Please bring your photo with you at check-in. The photos will be returned after the pageant.

We do not have a long list of strict rules and regulations. We want the kids to be kids. We know they are still young, and most have little or no pageant experience, so we encourage them to "just be themselves." Our number one goal is to create a magical day for you and your family with music and balloons and the experience of a lifetime.
